Shopping for loose diamonds is a very fun time! You could be shopping for certified loose diamonds if you are building your own ring or necklace or if you want to replace an existing stone in a piece of jewelry you already own. No matter your reason for shopping for these gorgeous gems, make sure you are a savvy shopper.

Loose diamonds are small, but they pack a big punch when it comes to their price tag! Anyone who knows anything about diamonds will be the first one to tell you these little stones are not cheap.

When you are fabricating your very own piece of jewelry using custom design processes, you will often begin by shopping for a single stone. It is much easier to build a piece of jewelry around a stone than it is to find the exact stone you want that will fit your specifications. After you find the stone, you can move onto the body of the design which would be the setting for the stone. Your jeweler will then tell you about the custom design process so you can begin planning the rest of the piece. At that point, you will feel comfortable around loose diamonds.
